  • poor customer service



    I have worked in customer Service for over 20 years now and I have never experienced the lack of customer service as I did at the Sequim costco. We are usually always asked if we would like our items boxed (bagged) or not when we are at the register, and this time, even though we had SEVERAL little items, we weren't even asked, and the rude man just put everything in the cart. After noticing this, I asked if we could have some of the smaller stuff boxed, and he just handed me two small boxes and literally stood there and watched me unload every little item and place them in the boxes...   • Horrible customer service

  • BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE TIRE SHOP



    I am writing about COSTCO in East Hanover, NJ. When customers buy tires included is $15 per tire for lifetime rotation, balance and flat fixing. Whenever I bring my vehicle for rotation or balance, the tire technicians would tell me to buy new tires when it is visible that the tires are still good and would last for many more months. When I requested to just do the balance (because "I paid for it lifetime") they wouldn't do it.I bet that if any of those "tire technicians" own my vehicle, they would not spend another $400-$800 if they know they don't need it...   • Extreme Dissappointment-Samson International Bedroom Furniture



    First, I still think Costco is top notch and I know they will refund my money no questions asked if I so choose. We bought on July 2011 from Costco a King size bedroom set made by Samson International of North Carolina ( their wbsite does not work). I bought six large pieces. Ok, first the fumes were beyond horrible, which scares the hell out of me since they were made in China.   • Poor Customer Service and Costco's Horrible Policy



    We needed a new bed mattress and decided to go with one at costco. It was our first costco experience so we joined. They day my wife wanted to pick up the bed I was out of town. She loaded the trailer and headed to costco. She immediately asked how she should go about getting the bed mattress, king size, and was told to get a cart and someone would meet her on the isle.   • Rip-OFF



    Can you find the deals??? Where's the savings?? Lets see. I have been a member since,1993. I have noticed prices going up and portions going down. Price of gas come on..same as gas stations. So, why am I paying them membership of 50-100 a year. If business is so good. Why rip us off. Where are the deals??? I am finding the deals at local grocery stores not here at costco anymore.   • Costco



    The Costco eyeglass department seemed ok even though they were always understaffed. The 3 pair of glasses are for TV, computer and driving. The anti glare coating fell off all 3 pair. They said I scratched the glasses so no warrantee. I looked at the glasses under a microscope and the coating is actually falling off. I use soap, water and a soft cloth and the coating still comes off. I previously used the clip on sunglasses and the plastic clip knocked off the coating. I stopped using the sunglasses.     Went to Costco today at the one in San Leandro. I was carrying my sister's membership card because we live in the same household. Cashier (named Albert) said I couldn't shop with her membership and stated that will have to have my sister to come by and pick up the card. I stated that I will file a complaint because the cashier would not give me back the card.     At the Prescott Arizona store a part time employee, young collage age girl, asked for time off to attend her brothers graduation from Marine Corp. boot camp. In case you are not aware, Marine boot camp is as tough as it gets and is a very big deal for graduation. If 500 kids graduate, 499 parents and their families attend. Either the store manager or the assistant equated the graduation of a United States Marine TO "ANY OTHER DOG AND PONY SHOW THAT COMES ALONG".   • Great Products Insolent Staff



    I am an Executive Club member of Costco and have been shopping at the Brookfield, CT store for the past 10 years. The reason I do so is for the quality of its products and for the way Costco stands behind them. But everytime I visit the store I brace myself mentally. Costco's staff is rude, insolent and arrogant. What an irony, Costco staff get better pay and benefits than Walmart but all my customer service horros have been with Costco, not a single one with Walmart.     last few times i have visited costco they told me i didn,t need to cut out coupons in their flyer. today after starting to ring me out i noticed i was not being charged the sale price. So I mentioned to the clerk, and he said you have to have the coupons. He kept on ringing the items and never asked me if I still wanted the items since most of them were items that had a coupon for them. He never offered to assist me in finding help to see if there were any extra coupons available or try to satisify me in any way and he knew I was upset.   • Costco warehouse pricing is...



    Costco warehouse pricing is always the rave. Anyone you talk to will swear by it; the best value for your money (most items, if you're not looking to compare in-store brands). Now, if only their staff, especially those at the check out counters were to offer you the best service for your membership money, it'll be perfect. Costco sell things in bulk, hence they are either heavy or bulky. Yet they forget that not everyone's pantry or freezer is a short walk from the garage or the driveway. Can you say rip-off!!!!!!!! Pay membership 50. yes big deal. Have been a member since 1993. I have noticed prices going up here and there. They also, have been cutting back portions. I used to think I was getting a deal...not any more. Even gas is the same price as most gas stations. Where is the savings??? Pay 50 a year to save. I just don't see it any more. I am starting to find the same deals at local grocery store. I don't know. Just feel riped off.

I had to deal with an incredibly rude "supervisor" today. It began when I tried to use my debit Visa card at their gas station; the card was declined. I found this strange because I had just used it at another store not less than 10 minutes earlier. I went into Costco's and spoke with customer service about it; they gave me a new Costco shopping card in case that had been the problem. I did my shopping and went to check out. Again, my debit card was declined. I explained to the cashier what had happened at the pump but that it had worked at another store and at Costco's ATM (I got $20 to check if it was my debit card, it wasn't). She couldn't figure it out and I asked if they would take a check. She said yes, but when she attempted to process the payment, it came back "declined" and she called the supervisor over. He grabbed the check, shoved it at me and said, Cash only, glowering at me the entire time. I went back to the ATM and got out the right amount of cash. I pointed out to the cashier that there was plenty of money available in my account so what was going on with Costco. She took me to the accounting office where someone made a phone call and discovered that there was a computer communication problem between Costco and the company that processed the debit cards. No sooner had we learned this than another customer came over, wanting to know why his card wasn't working at the gas pumps. Duh. I am furious at the "supervisor" who treated me as though I was trying to rip off Costco and pass a bad check or something when, in fact, it was an error on Costco's part. The cashier was very helpful and friendly, but the "supervisor" needed to go back to working in the stock rooms.
